Saffron Court is a build-to-rent (BTR) development in Nottingham city centre. The accommodation provides a mix of 350 privately owned, one and two-bed studio apartments over eight storeys, together with amenities for residents including two external podium courtyard gardens provide amenity space but are currently underutilised.

Cube were appointed to develop initial landscape concepts to enhance the existing podium courtyard spaces to make them more inviting and usable for the current residents as part of an enhanced residential experience.

The concept design looks to create a series of new garden rooms and uses to attract and encourage residents into the courtyard. The design will be united by a cohesive street furniture and planting palette.

The project team are agreeing the scope to undertake the de­tailed design as part of the project programme with the current ambition of completing the delivery of the project on the ground in 2026.
